smelly dirty dried crumbs of earth stick to the bottom of our family shoes. walking in the watery mud outdoors, now transform inside, dried and hardened, swept up once crumbled off. the shoes of our landscapes. smelly sweaty socks fit perfectly on napping feet. boogers and bean soup. the intimate moments ending in tear stains. they are remnants of our journey through love. cheerful holiday seasons embrace the remnants of the outdoors and the unknown.
